The Thursday Group – “The Falling Heads”
Isla Collective, in collaboration with The Thursday Group, presented the piece Falling Heads in October/November 2025 in ODENSE. Directed by Matthew Crosby, the work explores the notion of separation — brother from brother, mind from body — inspired by Akutagawa Ryunosuke’s The Story of a Head That Fell Off (1917). Using psychophysical theatre techniques, the production combined Brechtian elements with sharp relevance to contemporary existential conflicts.
