Invisible poetry in Klaregade

What if your words could stay in the city—
even after you’ve left?

Talk to Me Like the Rain is a participatory poetic intervention that invites people to write short texts in their own language and inscribe them into the urban space.

During a series of workshops, participants will create personal fragments of poetry. These texts will then be painted along Klaregade using hydrophobic paint—remaining invisible until it rains. When the streets get wet, the city begins to reveal what has been written.

All workshops take place at KJÆRS BØGER, Pogestræde 22, 5000 Odense.
No prior experience is needed.
Participants are welcome to write in any language.

A Project for the City

This project is part of “Fremtidens Bymidte”, an initiative by Odense Municipality that explores new ways to activate and reimagine the city center.

By inviting the international community and residents to contribute their own words, Talk to Me Like the Rain creates a shared, multilingual layer of expression—visible only under specific conditions, and always temporary.
